1. Overview

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Empty Couch ("Service"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts, subscriptions, and billing

  • Sign‑in is via Google. Keep your account secure and notify us of unauthorized use.
  • Some features are paid. Subscriptions are billed via Stripe until cancelled. Taxes may apply.
  • You can manage or cancel through our billing portal; plan or price changes may occur with notice.

3. Acceptable use

  • No abuse, interference, or unauthorized access methods.
  • No reverse engineering except as permitted by law.
  • No malicious code, spam, or unlawful/rights‑violating content.

4. Third‑party services

We integrate with Google (OAuth and Calendar read‑only), Stripe (billing), Mailjet (emails), OpenAI (event discovery via web search), and PostHog (analytics). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms.

5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
